Meizu, the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, alongside Xiaomi has been well known for its high end phones available at budget prices with some solid specs under the hood. The company is all set to reveal the successor to the handset in the form of the Meizu MX3. Leaked images have surfaced that reassure us that the handset is stunning to look at.
Visually the phone looks like a cross over between the iPhone and an HTC One. The edge to edge display that is said to be 5.1 inches in size will be a Full HD panel. There’s a white & silver bezel that looks minimalistic and the glowing home key gets the handset extra style points. No doubt, this handset will be turning heads but it isn’t lacking in the performance department either. Under the hood is an Exynos 5 Octa processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
The camera on the handset is believed to be a 13MP unit that should be capable of recording Full HD video. The OS will be a heavily customized version of Android 4.2 called Flyme 3.0. If our experience with the previous versions of Flyme is any indication then the operating system will be highly customizable and will be one of the most refined UI layers out there. We expect to see the product towards September when it launches in China.
