Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3 at IFA 2013 in Berlin and almost a year ago, Samsung had announced the Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy Note 3 is considerably a big update over its predecessor. Despite having a 5.7inch display, the Galaxy Note 3 maintains the same dimensions as the Note 2 which has a 5.5inch display. The Galaxy Note 3 is thinner and lighter than the Note 2. Note 3 has a Full HD 5.7inch display (386ppi) while the Note 2 has a 5.5inch HD display(267ppi). The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC/Exynos Octa SoC and has 3GB RAM.
Galaxy Note 3 has a new 13MP BSI sensor with and records 4K UltraHD videos(Snapdragon 800 variant alone) and 1080p Full HD videos at 60fps while the Galaxy Note 2 records just 30fps 1080p videos. Note 3 runs on Android 4.3 while Galaxy Note 2 is still stuck in Android 4.1.2. The Galaxy Note 3 has a new improved S-Pen along with a more feature rich S-Note application. Note 3 has a new improved 3200mAh battery as against Note 2’s 3100mAh battery.
