LG G2 to receive Android 4.4 KitKat later this month

LG has been a little bit late in bringing software updates to its Android smartphone series, but things seemed to have changed for the South Korean manufacturer. When Google announced their latest and greatest version of Android – 4.4 KitKat in November, few people were ebullient, few were skeptical and a whole lot had only one question – “When is it coming to my phone?”. LG G2 is LG’s current flagship smartphone and rightly so, LG is giving it the treatment it deserves. Just over a 50 days since the launch of Android 4.4 KitKat, LG are announcing that the Android 4.4 KitKat update will be coming to LG G2 at the end of this month, but only in South Korea for now.

Some of the new features that LG G2 will be getting thanks to the Android 4.4 KitKat update include faster performances, cleaner interface, full screen mode for applications, new smarter caller ID and cloud print. The update has been announced only for South Korea right now and the update should roll out to other countries very soon. Google has already updated the latest version twice in the form of minor updates and the latest KitKat version reads Android 4.4.2 and when LG G2 receives KitKat update, we hope that it is indeed Android 4.4.2.
