Motorola Moto G India launch expected in the last week of January

At the Moto G launch back in November, Motorola announced that the Moto G would be available in India early January 2014, but it didn’t happen.  Motorola would launch Moto G, the company’s latest affordable Android smartphone in India in the last week of this month, according to a latest report from TOI. The Moto G has a  4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) edge-to-edge display at 329 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and the update to Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) has already started rolling out in the U.S and Europe gradually starting from last month.

Motorola has also introduced the Moto G Google Play Edition few hours back in the U.S. which runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. Motorola also plans to launch a dual SIM version of the Moto G in Brazil and India this year.

Motorola has already roped in a distribution partner for the launch in India later this month, according to the report. The big question is the Indian pricing.
