Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, a smaller variant of the Xperia Z1 is now available in India from online retailer Infibeam. It has a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens with a 27mm wide angle f/2.0 aperture custom 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, BIONZ image processing engine, 1080p video recording and a 2.2-megapixel HD front-facing camera, similar to the Xperia Z1.

The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact comes in black, white, lime and pink colors and is priced at an MRP of Rs. 36,990 on the official Sony India website. The official launch is expected soon. The Sony Xperia Z1 that was launched in India at an MRP of Rs. 44990 now sells at an MRP of Rs. 41,990. At a difference of just Rs. 5,000, would you go for the Compact instead of the original Z1 with a larger 1080p screen and a bigger battery ?
