At MWC 2014 in Barcelona, alongside its new Nokia X series of Android powered budget smartphones, Nokia announced an addition to their Asha lineup in the form of Nokia Asha 230. Nokia Asha 230 is the newest and most affordable touch enabled Asha phone yet. Being a touch based Asha phone, it shares most of its design traits from the Asha lineup and comes with slightly rounded corners.
We were there at the event when Elop added another device to the Asha lineup. And after the event, we managed to spend some time with the Asha 230 on the show floor and get a few photos as well as shoot a quick hands on video which you can check out right below.

The Asha 230 comes with the same software features that are there in its predecessors. It comes with a 2.8inch 240x320pixel display and has a 1.3MP rear camera. In terms of connectivity, it comes with 2G, Bluetooth, microUSB and A-GPS support. There is a stereo FM radio and you can expand your internal storage with a microSD card slot.
The Nokia Asha 230 shares the same design language as its other Asha brothers, but comes with rounded corners making it look more like a rounded rectangle than a regular rectangle.
