Today, at the Nokia X launch event in India, Nokia has announced that both the Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL, dual SIM Android smartphones would be available in India within the next 60 days. Both these phones were announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona last month, along with the Nokia X, and are based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The Nokia X+ is similar to the Nokia X, but this packs 768MB of RAM, instead of 512 MB on the Nokia X.
The Nokia X+ has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display and the Nokia XL has a 5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display. Both these are powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM8225) processor and runs on Nokia X software platform 1.0 based on AOSP Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Nokia X has a fixed focus 3-megapixel rear camera and the Nokia XL comes with a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these have dual SIM support and 3G connectivity.
It has Nokia Store to download Android apps. Nokia has partnered with several developers such as to bring popular apps and games to the Nokia X series smartphones.
