LG India promotes Knock Code feature with new contest

LG introduced the dual SIM variants of the L90 and L70 smartphones in India recently. This has Knock Code feature that was first introduced on the G Pro 2. All the latest F Series, L Series III smartphone and the LG G2 mini has the Kock Code feature and LG has also promised to bring the feature to LG G2 and G Flex users through a software update. It would also be available on LG’s future mobile devices.

The Knock Code pattern offers about 80,000 possible security combinations and can be entered on a blank screen using two to eight taps. Since the doesn’t show any detectable outline of the pattern, it is virtually impossible to duplicate, says LG. The Knock Code is a forward thinking and out of the box idea, that is poised to be a game changer in the Indian mobile industry, it added.

LG has also started a new campaign for Smartphone users to promote the new Knock Code feature, regarding the new contest, Amit Gujral, Head, Mobile Phones Marketing, LG India, said,

To introduce this exciting Knock Code feature LG India is launching an innovative digital campaign for Smartphone users in collaboration with Eccentric Engine. LG’s unique story concept brings out five interesting characters, namely, the Footballer, the Kickboxer, the Fashionista, the Unstoppable and the Dancer.

The first phase of LG’s digital campaign focuses on individual’s MyCodeMyStyle and #KnockCode as a teaser, and will be initiated with creative images. In the second phase of the campaign, a ‘2 videos per day’ contest will be launched for the users, wherein there will be a set of two videos created for each of the characters. These videos will then be seeded on Facebook and Twitter, in an effort to position the #KnockCode feature.
