HP is soon expected to launch its first Android laptop with a full laptop experience except for the fact that it runs on Android OS instead of Windows or Linux. The upcoming HP Slatebook 14 has leaked online in what is probably a video tour for the product.
The HP Slatebook 14 will come with a full laptop like build quality along with Beats Audio. The rumored specifications for this Android tablet include a 14inch Full HD touch screen display(1920×1080 display) along with options for HD variants (probably cheaper variants). It is expected to be powered by a quad-core NVidia Tegra 4 processor(could be either Tegra 4 or the new Tegra K1). There will be 2GB RAM along with 16GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
It will come with the usual connectivity options like 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. It will run on Android 4.2 Jellybean. There will also be three USB ports, one HDMI, power connector and audio jacks. Being touted as a cheap laptop, the Slatebook 14 will come with polycarbonate chassis.
There is no word regarding the pricing or the availability of the device. In less than a month, there is a Computex event that will be held in Taipei where the device is expected to make its debut.
