RCom, Tata Teleservices and Aircel team up for 3G inter-circle roaming

Reliance Communication (RCom) Tata Teleservices and Aircel have entered into a tripartite agreement to offer 3G roaming services. With this partnership, the trio will provide 3G roaming services across their respective customer bases using their network across the country.

RCom and Aircel have permits for 3G services in 13 out of 22 service areas while Tata Teleservices (TTSL ) has permit in 9 circles. Currently, RCom offers 3G in  Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Assam, North East, Jammu & Kashmir.

As a result of the partnership with Aircel, RCom will get access to circles of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, UP (East) and Andhra Pradesh. While teaming up with TTSL will add cities like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana and UP (West).

said RCom’s Chief Executive Officer for Consumer Business, Gurdeep Singh.

Reliance tied up with Aircel for 2G Intra-circle roaming last year. Last week, Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has entered into a pan-India tower infrastructure sharing agreement ATC India.
