Samsung is pushing Android KitKat update to a line of Galaxy devices, as per leaked document shared by SamMobile. Devices like the Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 will get the latest Android KitKat 4.4 update by June.
Galaxy Note II LTE, Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the Galaxy S3 LTE will receive Android 4.4.2 updates by the end of this month. The international Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) update has been canceled, according to this document due to some “unsolved problems”. The report also states that Samsung has started testing Android 4.4.3 for the Galaxy S5 and that some of the devices in the list might upgrade directly to 4.4.3 instead of 4.4.2, which hints at the possibility that the updates might take longer to arrive.
It must be noted that the dates on this list are subject to change. Earlier this year, Samsung had rolled out KitKat 4.4 update to Galaxy Note 3, , Galaxy S4 and and Galaxy Note 2 in India. Android KitKat is now present on 8.5% of all the global active Android devices as per latest numbers from Google’s Android Developers Dashboard.
