Rumors about Samsung launching new series of tablets had already surfaced online earlier this month. Today, photos of the device has been spotted recently at the FCC. The new images show the same tablet seen in the images that surfaced last week that suggests a 10.5 inch AMOLED screen.
We know that the Galaxy Tab S is one of the tablets from Samsung’s latest possible series. The FCC report also provides measurements of the tablet which measures 246.5mm wide and 176.4mm tall and is named by SM-T800. It must be noted that this is the Wi-Fi only model of the SM-T800, though a 3G/4G model is also reportedly in the works.
According to rumored specifications, the tablet is powered by Exynos 5420 octa-core 1.9 GHz / 1.3 GHz processor, 3 GB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The internal storage will be 16GB and as with most Samsung devices, there will be expandable storage via microSD card slot. One of the talked about feature of the tablet is fingerprint scanner from the company’s current flagship device – Galaxy S5.
Samsung is expected to launch this new series of tablets sometime in June according to reports from WSJ and hi-tech.mail.ru.
