Intex Technologies has launched the Aqua i5 HD, its new smartphone in the Aqua series and the successor of Aqua i5. It has a 5-inch HD (1280 × 720 pixels) display based on one-glass-solution (OGS) technology, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, voice image capture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
It comes with dual SIM support, similar to other Intex smartphones. It also has voice screen unlock, face unlock and flip to mute.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head of the Mobile vertical at Intex said,

The Intex Aqua i5 HD comes in black and white colors and is priced at Rs. 9990. It would be available from 40000 plus resellers, several hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across India. Intex claims that they have sold 11.5 million handsets last year, out of which 1.5 million were smartphones. It plans to launch 8 more Aqua series smartphones during the next quarter.
