Sony has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for last year’s Xperia Z lineup that includes, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and the Xperia Tablet Z as it promised. All these devices got the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update back in December last year. Sony rolled out the KitKat update for the Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and the Z1 Compact in March.
The Sony Xperia Z2 that was launched in India recently running Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. The KitKat update brings performance tweaks, lot of under the hood improvements, new skin and new features.

Sony announced the list of devices that would get the Android 4.4 KitKat update back in December last year. The company today announced that Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 (and dual variants) would get the KitKat update starting from July.
