HTC launched the Desire 816, a mid-range smartphone in the Desire series in India recently. It went on sale in the Indian market earlier this week and we already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone recently. Here we have the benchmarks it. The Desire 816 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with four ARM Cortex A7 Cores and Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HTC’s own Sense UI on top. Let us check how it performs in a range of synthetic benchmarks.

In AnTuTu 4 it scores 21612 points and lies just behind the Nexus 5.

It managed to score just 1421 points in the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark.

It scored 667 points in the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU Subsystem performance test.
Linpack Single Thread
It clocked around 109.4 MFLOPS in the Linpack single thread benchmark.
Linpack Multi-Thread
It clocked around 320 MFLOPS in the Linpack Multi-Thread benchmark.
NenaMark 2
It clocked around 58.3 fps in the NenaMark 2 benchmark.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
It clocked 11 fps in he GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex OnScreen GPU benchmark.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Onscreen)
It clocked around 7.29 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 HD OnScreen benchmark.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Offscreen)
It clocked around 2.9 fps in Basemark X 1.0 HD OffScreen benchmark.
