HP has announced a 14 inch Android powered laptop that is dubbed as SlateBook PC. Priced at $399, the laptop has a 14-inch FHD (1080p) touchscreen display with NVIDIA Tegra 4 under the hood. It is 16 millimeters thick and weighs just around 3.75 pounds (1.7 kg). The SlateBook 14 laptop was first leaked online in April this year.
The Slatebook runs on Android 4.3 and has a 2GB of RAM with 16, 32 and 64GB of internal storage along with microSD card slot.In terms of connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Other feature includes Beats Audio quad-speakers, and front-facing HD webcam. HP is claiming the battery life upto 9.25 hours. Finally, the laptop has HDMI out, USB 3.0 and dual USB 2.0, and audio mic/headset jack and comes with full support for Google Play. HP’s SlateBook is available in only one colour, black with yellow frame and will be available available to order in the US on August 6 for US$399.
