At the Computex 2014 event in Taipei, Asus announced a lot of products and among those, is the upgraded Asus MeMO Pad 8. The new Asus MeMO Pad 8 is an upgrade over the yesterday product of the same name. The successor – New Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a very worthy upgrade over the original with a Full HD display, an Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage and a microSD card slot. The new MeMO Pad 8 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
We managed to get our hands on the device as we are live from the event. In the short time spent with the device, we shot a few photos and you can check out the photos below.

The design language is mostly similar with Asus going for a glossy plastic finish. There are two speaker grills on the back side of the tablet – one at the top and the other at the bottom.
There is a 5MP rear camera on the tablet and there is no flash to assist low light photography.
On the right side, we have the volume rocker and the power lock button is located right below it.
The top houses the 3.5mm audio jack.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and is overlaid by Asus’ own Zen UI.
