Google is updating Glass with a bunch of new features. For starters, the device is getting better photo sharing for Android users. The MyGlass app for Android will instantly upload a photo that is taken through the Glass.
Users can add filters or edit these photos before sharing them to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on. Google says it is working on bringing this new feature to MyGlass for iOS, but did not provide any further details. A Wi-Fi connection is not necessary to undergo this feature. In addition, MyGlass app can now send you a mobile notification if your battery goes below 20%.
Secondly, Google is blending into the upcoming FIFA world cup fever and adding Google Now card for the same. Glass users can get match updates on their device and provide you with information about your favorite teams. It will also inform about matches in progress, standings within the division, and final match scores. Last week Google added 12 stadiums in Brazil that will host the World Cup to Street View.
Similar to Android, Google Glass will also get parking cards that will remind you where your car is parked. Finally, Glass now lets you track your packages and a notification will be sent they delivered. Users will have to go to Google Now settings and make sure they have answered “Yes” to receiving “package updates based on your Gmail.
Last week Google Glass added ‘Notification Glance’ feature that enables Glass Explorers to simply look at the Glass to receive the notification.
