Swipe launched the Konnect 5.0, its first smartphone in the Konnect series priced at Rs. 8,999 earlier this month. It has a 5-inch qHD screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The company has already started rolling out the KitKat update for the smartphone. The Flip cover has an adhesive to stick to the phone’s back rather than completely replacing the back panel.
The 5-inch ( 960 ×540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen IPS display that based on one-glass-solution technology is decent. It has huge bezel around the display. The smartphone has a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has a curved back panel that extends to the sides of the smartphone. It is just 8.9mm and weighs 135 grams. The power button is present on the right side, while the volume rocker is located on the right side of the phone.
The back cover has a smooth matte finish. There is a 8-megapixel rear camera with OmniVision sensor and LED flash on the back. The 3.5mm audio jack and the micro USB slot are present on the top. it has 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with micro SD expansion slot and has the usual set of connectivity features including 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It has 1950 mAh battery.
