Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 specs revealed in benchmarks

Reports about Samsung working on the Galaxy Mega successor had surfaced online few months back. Today, specifications about the phablet has been spotted on GFX Benchmark database. The device which has a model number SM-G7508 boasts of a 5.9 inch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution.


Galaxy Mega 2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor which is also its first 64-bit chip that Samsung has been rumored to be internally testing on a mid-range device. It is also packed with Adreno 306 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 2GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Running on Android KitKat 4.4.3, the device is expected to launch with latest Android 4.4.4.

Other specifications include 12 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The single sim device has microSD card slot, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. There is no word on official release date and price of the Galaxy Mega 2. Meanwhile, Samsung rolled out Android KitKat 4.4 update to the original Galaxy Mega 6.3 at the end of May.
