LG G3 Prime, an enhanced variant of the LG G3 has been rumored to be in the works for quite sometime now. UA Profile of the LG smartphone with the model number LG-F460L and codenamed Tiger has surfaced online that shows APQ8084, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC onboard. The LG-F460L that ends in L is expected to head to Korean operator LGU+. The LG-F460S, another variant that is expected to head to SK Telecom (SKT) has passed Bluetooth certification.
Other than these, the UA Profile and the Bluetooth SIG doesn’t reveal any other details. Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 LTE-A with Snapdragon 805 and Quad HD display last month for the Korean market. The LG G3 Prime is also expected to launch only in Korea and support LTE Advanced that would offer download speed of up to 225 Mbps with the new Qualcomm MDM9635 modem that supports speed of up to 300 Mbps.
It rumored to come with IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. Other specifications are likely to be similar to the LG G3, including a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display at 538ppi, 13MP rear camera with OIS, Dual LED Flash, Laser Auto Focus, 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with expansion slot. It is rumored to be unveiled later this month.
