Google Play Store gets dedicated Android Wear app section

Android Wear apps have paved their way to Google Play Store. Smartwatches running on the latest Android Wear are already flooding the markets and to use them efficiently, Google has released few apps that support Android Wear.

The official Android Wear app is now available in the Google Play Store. The app helps you to pair your Android device to your new wearable and, once paired, lets you control your voice action preferences, adjust your notification settings and configure your devices. There are more than 20 apps for the Android Wear ranging from health, social, news, productivity etc.

Google says apps submitted to Play Store can either run only Android devices while sending notifications to Android Wear or exclusively on Android Wear, but third-party developers may also use an APK that allows them to create apps for both mobile and wearable platforms.

Here is the list of all the apps for Android Wear:

  • IFTTT
  • Level Money
  • Contacts+
  • Bandsintown Concerts
  • Banjo
  • Duolingo
  • Eat24 Food Delivery
  • Onefootball Brasil – World Cup
