According to TheStreet.com, Qualcomm has finally succeeded in impressing Apple and will soon be powering the new iPhone.
Though there is no official confirmation from Apple side as yet, Northeast Securities analyst Ashok Kumar has confirmed the decision with the manufacturers and suppliers involved with the phone.
This is huge news for the chip supplier Qualcomm if the rumour is true, after all, even Google’s Nexus One is going to be powered by it.
However, the iPhone chip in question here, will not be a Snapdragon but a 3G wireless technology chip for EV-DO.
