Xiaomi’s next launch might be due in just a few hours from now, but that hasn’t stopped other leaks to creep in. While we’re expecting either the Xiaomi Mi3S or the Mi4 (or both?) to see light of day later today, what leaked might just surprise you a bit — a Xiaomi-made smart bracelet.
The yet-unreleased device is said to be Xiaomi’s first wearable. Of course, there’s no expected launch date for this one, but the Mi Band (or whatever Xiaomi decide to call it) might well get a launch alongside the Mi series phone(s) today. What reassures us about the existence of this wearable is the fact that none other than Lei Jun, the Xiaomi CEO was spotted wearing the device.
According to previous leaks, the Mi Band will cost well under the $50 mark, with the price tag expected to read 199 CNY ($32) in China. Given Xiaomi’s track record, it shouldn’t cost much more in market outside of China, should Xiaomi decide to launch it elsewhere.
A simple, not-too-feature-rich wearable at just $32 perhaps does make sense, but we’ll wait for the official announcement before speaking further!
