With each passing generation of smartphones, we keep telling ourselves that this is where it will end; this is where it just can’t get any better. That’s exactly when phones like the Vivo Xplay 3S (2560 x 1440p display) and the rumoured upcoming Honor 6 variant come into the picture to turn the game on its head.
Leaked earlier today was the Honor 6, a smartphone that’s believed to pack not 2GB, not 3GB, but a wholesome 4GB of RAM! The exact model name of the device is ‘H60-L02’, something that will perhaps change before it sees a launch.
4GB of RAM is what many of us would be happy to have on our laptops, running full-blown operating systems. One can only imagine what 4GB RAM on a small screen device such as a phone could do. In a market driven by supply more than demand, it is something we can go ahead without bothering; there will always be the ones who feel ‘at home’ with 4 gigs of RAM.
Coming back to the device, the Honor 6 besides the humongous RAM, is expected to carry a Kirin 920 CPU (a homebrew Huawei), a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 8 megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of on-board storage and a 5-inch full HD display.
