After launching on iOS and Andorid, Uber has parked its car at the Windows Phone Store. The popular on demand car service has officially announced the release of Windows Phone. Prior to this, Uber users had to access the service via its mobile site. The Uber Windows Phone app is mostly similar to its iOS and Android counterpart barring few Microsoft Metro UI redesign.
Update: Update India announced that Windows Phone users can avail exclusive offer of two free rides worth Rs. 500 each on signing up with Uber using promo code LUMIAUBER on their devices.

said Uber in a company blog post
Uber’s on-demand ride service is available in more than 150 cities in 40 countries around the world. It entered India last year and is currently available in six cities – New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune. Uber has launched uberX, a low-cost Uber service cheaper than the UberBLACK in India.
The Uber app can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Store.
