Asus launched Zenfone series of smartphones in India earlier this month. The Zenfone 6, the top-end model in the series with a 6-inch HD display was launched at Rs. 16,999. We brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the smartphone recently, here we have the photo gallery of the smartphone.
The Zenfone 6 has a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive multi touch display with Corning gorilla glass 3 protection.
The phone is definitely huge to hold comfortably, if you have small hands. We have a different variant of the smartphone that is powered by a 2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor and single SIM support. The Indian variant (A600CG / A601CG) has a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and dual SIM support.
It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with custom Zen UI on top. Asus has promised to offer Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the smartphone soon.
It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is a LED notification light next to the camera. It comes with the usual set of sensors.
It has capacitive touch buttons for back, home and menu, below the display on a black bezel. There is a small chin below these buttons.
The power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side to access them easily.
The micro USB slot is present on the bottom along with a tiny microphone hole.
On the top there is a 3.5mm audio jack and the secondary microphone.
The back cover is smooth and is prone to fingerprints and smudges.
There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash on the back. The new Zen UI has a range of camera features. We will discuss more about the camera when we bring you the camera samples later this week.
It has a huge speaker grill on the bottom.
Even though the back cover is removable, it has a 3300 mAh sealed battery.
It has a microSD card slot and a micro SIM card slot. The Indian variant comes with dual SIM support. The phone packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. We will be bringing you the camera samples and the complete review soon.
