Obi Mobiles launched the Octopus S520, the company’s first smartphone last month. We already brought the unboxing of the Octopus S520 smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We already have quite a few smartphones in India powered by the same Octa-Core chip. Quadrant Benchmark
It scored 17795 points and topped the Quadrant benchmark
AnTuTu Benchmark 4
It managed to score 27,129 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark 4.
Vellamo 2 HTML5
It tops the Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark by scoring 2329 points.
Vellamo 2 Metal
It managed to score 694 points in the Vellamo 2 Metal CPU subsytem performance test.
Linpack Single Thread
It managed to clock around 145 MFLOPS in the Linpack single thread benchmark.
Linpack Multi-Thread
It managed to clock around 267.7 MFLOPS in the Linpack Multi-Thread benchmark.
NenaMark 2
It clocked 60.5 fps in the NenaMark 2 GPU benchmark.
GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)
It clocked 14.7 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex OnScreen benchmark, slightly better than the Intex Aqua Octa powered by the same processor.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Onscreen)
It clocked around 7.64 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OnScreen benchmark.
Basemark X 1.0 HD (Offscreen)
It managed to clock around 4.65 fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OffScreen benchmark and lies behind the Canvas Knight and the Aqua Octa.
Basemark OS II
