Microsoft has updated Facebook for Windows Phone with several major and new features. First, users can now upload videos directly to Facebook from their Windows Phone devices.
The 5.3 version of the app now gets support for Facebook Messenger for Windows Phone that was launched in March. In addition, Facebook for Windows Phone now supports more languages. Besides adding new features, the Facebook app has also received an overhaul for the UI along with performance improvements.
The Facebook app will now link directly into the People Hub on Windows Phone for users running Windows Phone 8.1. This means contacts, events, and photo albums are now powered by the Facebook for Windows Phone app. Facebook updated Messenger for Windows Phone with video sharing capabilities. Facebook announced last week that users to download the standalone Messenger as it will soon kill the messaging feature from its main app.
