Moto X successor tipped for September 25 launch on Verizon

Rumors about the next Moto X have been looming around form quiet some time now. Today, Droid Life is claiming that as per their sources Moto X successor will come to Verizon on September 25.

Motorola had originally told consumers to expect a new Moto X by the end of summer, which is September 22nd. However, there is a chance that other carriers might launch the device before Verizon. Meanwhile, Moto X+1 was spotted in the Geekbench database having its Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset (with a 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU) confirmed along with 2GB of RAM.

Moto X+1 had briefly appeared on the Motorola website in May while in June the phone surfaced inside a phone case. Last month the phone with wooden back was spotted with hint of metal build. Previous rumors had also stated that Motorola is expected to launch Moto X+1 and the Moto 360 simultaneously. However, there is  no word from Motorola about the Moto 360 launch as yet.
