Sony Xperia M2 Aqua waterproof smartphone with 4.8-inch qHD display announced

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia M2 Aqua, a waterproof version of the Xperia M2 that was launched earlier this year. It has a 4.8-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.

It has Sony’s signature OmniBalance design and has IP65/68 waterproof rating and IP65 dustproof rating. Sony has not announced dual SIM or LTE variants of the phone like the Xperia M2.

The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua comes in Black and White and Purple colors and would launch in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe starting Autumn 2014.
