Keen to make a mark on the world map, Chinese phone makers are giving it their all to expand in to as many markets as possible. Xiaomi, and now OPPO are showing the very intent to make their presence felt.
While OPPO is already active in a handful out markets outside of China including the EU and India, Australian shores are yet to be conquered by the prolific phone maker from the far east. According to Mac World, OPPO will be marking their foray in Australia as early as next month.
The event invite reportedly reads: Mark your diaries to be among the first to hear all the news from one of the leading mobile phone brands across APAC as they begin their Australian journey, and get hands on with the products for the first time locally.
OPPO is clearly looking to grab a share in the Australian market before any of its counterparts head there. It isn’t yet clear what smartphones OPPO will launch in Australia straight away, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them go all-guns blazing with the top-tier OPPO Find 7 that we also reviewed.
