Xiaomi showcased its Mi in-ear headphones / earphones at the Mi 3 launched event last month. It comes in several variants, here we have the Piston 2 model that recently won the iF Design Award 2014 in Germany. The packing varies depending on the countries. In Singapore it comes in a box with IF logo, but in Malaysia, it doesn’t have the logo, like our unit that we have for unboxing. Check out the unboxing below.

Here are the three sets of earbuds to fit your ears, neatly arranged in the box. The Pistons can be winded up in the slick silicone winder in the box.
It has volume controls, microphone and a button to attend calls, play/pause music. It has Kevlar-reinforced cable.
Both the earphones and the 3.5mm audio jack are gold plated. Inside, it has beryllium alloy diaphragm that promises better audio transmission, extended high and stable low frequency audio. It also has Dual Damping System that provides a more balanced sound by dispersing the sound waves reflected from the diaphragm.
Xiaomi recommends you to use the Mi Sound enhancer and select the Xiaomi Piston 2 option for a better audio experience. The Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Headphones are priced at Rs. 999 in India on Flipkart. It is not clear when Xiaomi plans to launch it here.
