Microsoft officially launched Lumia 530 Dual SIM in India for Rs 7,349 earlier this month, while the Lumia 525 was launched in January this year. The Lumia 530 is the cheapest dual SIM Lumia smartphone. Lets take a detailed look at both the devices in several photos.
The Lumia 530 Dual SIM has 4-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display while the Lumia 525 has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display.
Both the phones do not boast of a front facing camera and also do not have LED notification light on the front. The Lumia 525 has proximity and ambient light sensors, but these are absent in Lumia 530.
The Lumiia 530 has on-screen virtual buttons instead of the capacitive ones on the Lumia 525.
The Lumia 530 Dual SIM runs on Windows Phone 8.1 while the Lumia 525 was originally shipped with Windows Phone 8. However, Nokia announced Cyan update in July which updated the Lumia 525 with Windows Phone 8.1.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM is smaller in size and has curved bezels while the Lumia 525 is a bit longer in length and has more of flat edges. The former is available in Dark Grey, Orange, White and Green colors while the latter is available in Orange, White, Yellow and matte black.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM is 11.7 mm thick and weighs 129 grams while Lumia 525 is a bit thinner with 9.9 mm thick and weighs 124g. Both have 3.5mm audio jack at the top.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM has a 5MP fixed focus rear camera with FWVGA video recording and the Lumia 525 sports a 5MP Auto Focus camera with 720p HD video recording.
Both the phones have a micro USB slot at the bottom.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM has volume rocker buttons on the right side along with the power/lock button. While the Lumia 525 has volume rockers, power/lock button and dedicated camera button the right side. Both the phones have no buttons on the left side.
Both the phones support removable back cover and removable 1430 mAhbattery.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM has 2 micro SIM slots and a micro SD card slot situated under the battery and Lumia 525 has only one SIM slot and a micro SD card slot.
Lumia 530 Dual SIM runs on 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 302 GPU and Lumia 525 runs on 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU.
