Alcatel One Touch by TCL Communication has unveiled POP 2 series, the company’s latest budget smartphones and POP 8S entry-level tablet at IFA this year. These come in 4-inch, 4.5-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch screen sizes with FWVGA resolution, powered by a 1.2 quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor and run on Android 4.4 (Kitkat), have a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The POP 8S tablet has a 8-inch display, powered by a quad-core processor, has a 5-megapixel or a 3-megapixel rear camera depending on the market and a front-facing camera. It is 7.9mm thick and weighs 309 grams. It runs on Android Kitkat and supports voice calling through a wired or a Bluetooth headset. The One Touch POP 2 has 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot and packs a 2000mAh battery. These have swappable back covers.
