Motorola announced its newest mid-range smartphone, the new Moto G about 48 hours ago and we have already managed to get the retail unit. The 2014 edition Moto G has got the unboxing treatment and is going through the paces in our labs for a detailed review.
For starters, the new Motorola Moto G comes in various names such as Motorola Moto G second generation, Motorola Moto G2 and Motorola Moto G+1.
The retail package of the new Moto G is quite similar to the original Moto G. Inside is the 5-inch Moto G itself alongside the A/C adapter, headsets and some leaflets. We would like to bring it to your notice that the retail package doesn’t include a USB cable, but we guess it’s more to do with keeping the cost down.
Motorola Moto G2 sports 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and there is gorilla glass 3 for extra protection. Motorola has retained the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM from the previous iteration.
The unboxing video was published earlier in the day and in case you missed it – check it out below.
The detailed review will be out later this week. So, keep an eye on your blog. And, meanwhile, if you decide to pick up the new Moto G, then we would like to inform you that the smartphone is available for purchase on Flipkart.
