Alcatel One Touch Hero 2 Hands On and Photo Gallery

Alcatel One Touch unveiled the One Touch Hero 2, successor of the first Hero smartphone at IFA this year. It also comes with a built-in stylus and supports MagicFlip covers. We got to check out the phablet at IFA at the Alcatel One Touch booth, check out the hands-on and the photo gallery.

The One Touch Hero 2 has a 6-inch 1080p display based on one-glass-solution technology. It has Dragontrail glass protection as well. It runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with a custom interface on top.

It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, the earpiece and the usual set of sensors above the display. It is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor and packs 2GB RAM.

It the usual set of capacitive touch buttons below the display.

It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, optical image stabilization (OIS) and supports 1080p Full HD video recording.

It has a set of pins on the back that lets you connect to the MagicFlip covers that are sold separately. It has 4G connectivity and comes with the usual set of connectivity features.

 

On the right side there is a microSD expansion slot, so that you can further increase the 16GB of internal memory. You also have a power button and the volume rockers. Since the back cover is not removable the SIM card slot is present on the left side. The phone packs a 3100mAh battery. It is just 7.9mm thick.

This is the MagicFlip DJ, a mini DJ mix panel that lets you mix your own tracks on the go. It would go on sale in select markets starting this September.
