Gionee has released the KitKat update for its M2 smartphone in India, as it promised. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones. It has also added three Indian languages.

The KitKat update for Gionee M2 is not available over-the-air (OTA. It available at selected service centres, and you can also follow instruction on the official Gionee forum and flash the new firmware manually. It doesn’t erase your data, however Gionee asks you to backup your data before flashing.
