The report further states that, Microsoft is planning to chuck the Nokia with Windows Phone branding even in its advertising and branding campaigns. It is said that instead of placing the Windows Phone branding Microsoft will simply use the standard Windows logo. Moving, on the software company also plans to cut the “Phone” from Windows Phone as well, added the report.
“As part of our phased transition, we will drop the manufacturer name from product references during the Holiday [season] campaign.”
read the leaked document.
The document also shows the new Lumia wordmark, set in Microsoft’s corporate ‘Segoe’ font. This initiative is coming from the company to consolidate Windows Phone and Windows RT into a single mobile-focused OS, which is likely to be launched next year.
