Xiaomi has announced that 40,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones would be available in their third flash sale in India, similar to the first two Redmi 1S sale. It took 4.2 seconds for the company to sell all the units and in the second sale that happened earlier this week on September 9th, it took 4.5 seconds.
The first sale saw over 2 lakh registration and the second one saw over 3 lakh registrations, but the company has not revealed the number of registered users for the third sale yet. First lot of devices was said to ship only next week, but it was shipped this week itself, one week early than the expected date. Even the Redmi 1S ordered in the second sale earlier this week have already started shipping to customers.
Xiaomi offers a free SIM card micro sim-card tray and a screen protector worth Rs. 179 free with every order. Registration is compulsory even if you have already registered for last week’s sale. Check out our Redmi 1S unboxing and benchmarks.
