Samsung announced the Galaxy Alpha last month and the company also launched Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge at IFA, Berlin. Reports had suggested that the company is working on A series of smartphones that will include three devices viz’ the SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700.
Earlier this month, specs of the SM-A500 had leaked and now few details about the SM-A300 have surfaced in GFX benchmarks and was first spotted by SamMobile. As per the benchmark, the device sports a 4.8 inch 960×540 display and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor and Adreno 306 GPU (graphics processing unit). The handset will include 1 GB of RAM and 5 GB of internal storage. Other specs include a 7-megapixel rear camera that will support recording 1080p Full HD video and 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The report further states that Samsung will likely launch the SM-A300 in third quarter of 2014.All the aforementioned three devices will be sharing the similar design language and metal build of the Galaxy Alpha. There is no word on pricing and availability of the phone from Samsung.
