Shazam for Android adds purchase and streaming option in Google Play

Shazam has updated its Android app with Google Play integration. The latest update adds the ability for users to instantly buy music via Google Play directly from the app.

As soon as you find a song on Shazam, you will see a new “Listen in Google Play” button. It also enables users to stream the music before making a purchase provided they are  Google Play Music All Access customer. The option to stream is available in a drop-down arrow next to the play button.

“Shazam just got sweeter with Google Play. Now when you Shazam a track on your mobile Android device, you can buy it instantly on Google Play with just a tap. Want to go beyond the preview? Stream more than 25 million songs with a Google Play Music All Access subscription”

said Shazam in the company blog post.

The updated Shazam app is available for download at the Google Play Store. Shazam said that the latest feature will be available on iOS soon.
