Lava rolled out Android 4.4 (KitKat) over-the-air (OTA) update for the Iris 504Q+ back in July, now the company has started rolling out Android 4.4 update for the Iris 405+ smartphone. It was launched back in January running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The KitKat update for the smartphone should offer improved user experience through an enhanced user interface and software performance.It also brings a new dialer app. Lava is yet to release the official changelog for the update.
The update is about 489 MB and is available over-the-air. You will a notification to upgrade the operating system to Android KitKat. You can also manually check for update from Settings-> About Phone->System Updates. You won’t lose any data, but Lava recommends users to backup your data before updating.
