Twitter for iPhone gets a profile makeover and interactive notifications

App makers and social networks are updating their iPhone and iPad apps with iOS 8 available for download. Yesterday, we saw a bunch of apps adding new features and improvements and now Twitter is also doing the same.

The micro blogging site is giving its profiles a makeover in order to put more focus on users bio, photos, favorites and tweets. Users can scroll down to access the Tweet stream or tap tabs to jump to their photos or favorites. Moreover, Twitter is incorporating some of the iOS 8 features into its latest update. The app is getting interactive notifications which now allows users to perform popular actions from the lock screen, notification bar, or Notification Center. These interactive notifications lets you retweet, favorite, follow, and reply from a notification without opening the app.

While the new profiles will be available for everyone using iOS 7 or above, the ability to interact with alerts on the Lock and Home screen is not because this capability is part of the great new features available only in iOS 8.

You can download the latest Twitter app from Apple App Store.
