Xiaomi sold 60,000 units of Remi 1S smartphones in 5.2 seconds in the fourth flash sale in India today. The company put up 20,000 units more than first three Redmi sales, and over 3.5 lakh people had registered for today’s sale. It took 3.4 seconds for the company to sell 40,000 units in its third sale last week.
The Redmi 1S is still one of the popular smartphones in India due to its value for money offering. So there is a huge demand for the smartphone every week. Totally the company has sold over 1.8 lakh Redmi 1S smartphones in India till the fourth sale. Sill it is getting over 3 lakh registrations every week.
The company would start registrations for 30th September sale at 6PM today. As usual, registration is compulsory, even if you had already registered for previous sales. It is expected to sell 60,000 smartphones again, just like the fourth sale. It is not clear if it would discontinue the smartphone after the next sale, like did for the Mi 3, to concentrate on the Redmi Note.
