Instagram is adding a new feature to its recently launched Hyperlapse app for the iPhone and iPad, that lets user take high-quality time lapse videos even while in motion. The popular photo sharing app is now adding support for shooting Hyperlapse videos with the front facing camera on your device.
Dubbed as ‘Selfielapse’, the latest feature adds a small button next to the camera shutter that toggles between the front- and rear-facing cameras. Switching to the front camera will alert you that you are switching to “selfielapse mode”. Prior to this update, users were only able to shoot Hyperlapse videos using the rear camera. In addition, the app now also supports recently launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Finally, Instagram has added few bug fixes and improvements to the app in latest update. Unfortunately, Hyperlapse is available only on iOS and works on iPhone and iPad. It is not known when the app will land on Android, but Instagram said “We hope to bring Hyperlapse to Android in the future. Unfortunately, the requisite APIs are not currently available on Android.”
You can download the Hyperlapse app from Apple App Store.
