Xolo Q1200, Q900S and A500 Club get Android 4.4 KitKat beta update

Xolo has released beta version of KitKat update for the Q1200, Q900S and A500 Club smartphones. After offering KitKat updates for several smartphones over a period of about two months, the company promised to offer update for Q1200, Q900s, A500 Club, A600 and A550s IPS smartphones. These smartphones were released few months back running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

The Android 4.4 (KitKat) update brings restyled status and navigation bars, color emoji, printing support, a new camera UI, immersiv mode, lock screen art, easy home screen switching, new email app, new phone dialer with ability to look up contacts directly from the dial pad, under the hood improvements and more. For the Xolo phones, the update adds New burst shot feature, Panorama + multi view and Live photo mode.

The Android KitKat beta updates for the Xolo Q1200, Q900S and A500 Club are available from the official website here. Instructions for to install the updates are available from the  separate redmine site. You need to download the file from the site and load it to the smartphone manually. Once the beta testing is complete, the final version would be available over-the-air (OTA) for the users.
