Sony announced the Xperia Z3 earlier this month and it was launched in India earlier this week for Rs 51,990. We have already brought you Hands On and photo gallery and a detailed review of the Z3. Now we are bringing you a comparison gallery of the the Z3 with Xperia Z2 that was launched in India back in May. We already brought you the hands-on from the IFA in September.

Both the devices have a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality engine. The former has a brighter display than the latter and is equipped with 600 cd brightness. The Xperia Z3 is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (MSM8974AC) with Adreno 330 GPU while the Z2 is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AB) processor with Adreno 330 GPU.
Both the phones sport a 2.2MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording.
Both the phones have on screen buttons and no physical button.
Both the phones have the power button at the center and micro SD card and volume rockers on either side of the power button on the right side. They also have a dedicated camera shutter button at the end of the right side. However, the Z3 has an aluminium band around the rim of the phone which is absent on the Z2.
Both the device have the microUSB port that is covered with a flap along with a dock connector to the left side. There is also a lanyard port at the bottom on left side.
The 3.5 mm audio jack is at the top on both the devices. Z3 measures 7.3mm thick and weighs 152 grams while Z2 is 8.2mm thick and weighs 158 grams.
Both the phones have glass panel at the back along with the Sony branding in the middle followed by the Xperia branding. Xperia Z2 has IP55 / IP58 ratings, while Xperia Z3 has IP65/68 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Both the devices have a 20.7MP rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 4K video recording.
The Xperia Z3 runs on latest Android KitKat 4.4.4 while the Z2 got the Android KitKat 4.4 update recently. Both if them have a 3GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, Upto 128GB expandable memory via microSD card.
The Xperia Z3 has a 3100 mAh Battery while the Z2 has a 3200 mAh Battery and both come with STAMINA mode. The former comes in Black, White, Green and Copper colors while the latter only comes in Black, White and Purple.
