After rumors, Apple has sent out invites for an event on October 16th. At last year’s iPad event, Apple introduced iPad Air and a new iPad mini with retina display. This year Apple is expected to refresh the iPad Air and iPad mini. It is also expected to introduce new Macs.
According to recent rumors, the new iPad Air is expected to feature a slightly thinner body compared to the current iPad Air. Apple is rumored to remove the mute/vibration button to make the tablet thinner. It is expected to come with a new A8 processor along with a new M8 chip, similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Touch ID and is expected to come in gold color variant. The new iPad mini is expected to come with similar features as the new iPad Air.
Apple is also expected to launch OS X Yosemite with updated apps, new Macbooks, iMacs and Mac Mini. Hope we can finally see the 12-inch MacBook with Retina display.
The October 16th event would take place in Town Hall auditorium at the Infinite Loop Campus in Cupertino, California. As usual, it begins at 10AM ET / 1PM ET / 10:30 PM IST. We have to wait for a few more days to find out if there will be a live stream for the event.
