Apple to offer live video stream for the October 16th iPad event

Apple has announced that it will offer live stream for their October 16th event, where the company is expected to launch new iPads and iMacs. Apple offered live stream for the iPhone 6 event last month, but there were several issues with the live stream. Last time the live stream page had a countdown, now it’s just the invite.

It usually offers live video stream of their WWDC and other special events, but now Apple has started offering live streams for all its events. The event is happening in Town Hall auditorium at the Infinite Loop Campus in Cupertino, California. As usual, the stream will only work on Safari 5.1.10 on iOS 6.0 or later on any iPhone, iPad, iPad mini or iPod touch or Safari on a Mac running on OS X v10.6.8 or second or third-generation Apple TV.

According to earlier rumors the new iPad Air is expected to feature a slightly thinner body compared to the current iPad Air, come with new A8 processor along with a new M8 chip, similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Touch ID sensor, and is expected to come in gold color variant. The new iPad mini is expected to come with similar features as the new iPad Air.

The event kicks off at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) or 10:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) on October 16th. Live stream will be available apple.com/live.
